Which CVSNT version will work with Proxy

( CVSSCC , VS .NET, 1.2.x  )

Actually I not know that, since version 1.1 not longer supported.
Anyway plug-in is just the proxy between IDE and cvs.exe (client
executable). So, if you have serious version upgrade for server, you
should update client also. Nobody will guaranteed that old client will
continue to work.
Theoretically old plug-in (1.1) should work if you configure it to use
new client (you can do this under cvs executable config page). But I
really not sure what you will have in that combination.
For why you need to use version 1.1. Does it work where not work 2.0?
Is it faster? Or why?

I understand the advantages with going with the new version. What I am
more concerned about is upgrading the server and the 1.1 version of Proxy
not working. From your response I gather that 1.1 will work with 2.5.0.1,
but I will not gain any advantages. Is this true?
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 19 Apr 05 04:00 writes

I believe you better make this upgrade, check the reasons:
1. I is free for you
2. Version 1.1 is much slower that 1.2 and even more to compare to 2.0
3. You will not get any advantages upgrading server to 2.5.01 and
leaving current versions of clients.
Please only read this article before upgrading:

We are looking to upgrade our CVS server to 2.5.0.1. Most of our CVSSCC
Proxy clients are running version 1.1.0310229. Will this version work with
CVSNT 2.5x or will all the clients need to be upgraded to the newest CVSSCC
Proxy 2.x version?
