Visual Studio 2005 file removal warning

( CVSSCC , 2005, 2.0.x, WIN 2000/XP, CVS NT 2.x >= 2.0.58  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 30 Mar 06 03:00 Updated: 30 Mar 06 03:00

VS .2005 does not require nor rename monitoring nor remove monitoring,
so you can safely switch them both off.
--> PostalGuard Ltd. Ram Cohen (user)  at 30 Mar 06 03:00 writes

When making a change to a source file which is under CVS source control and
compiling the application, the CVS plugin pops up with a note that the
source file was deleted.
I presume that VS.net 2005 saves the modified source file to a temporary
file first, then deletes the original file (which you detect) and then
rename the temporary file to the original source file name.
The bottom line is that monitoring deleted files creates wrong warning for
every source file modified as it is saved.
