View Differences doesn\'t work with external program

Well, it is assumed that the diff tool is the GUI executable that can
visually shows diffs. Command line (terminal mode) execuatbles will work as
you explain. As the solution you can put this:
diff tool "cmd"
command line " c:\cygwin\bin\diff.exe %1 %2"
This way the window will not disapear after diff execution, and you will
need to close it explicetly.

When I request the View Differences I'm getting allright a dialog to
specify the diff tool. I select "External" from the drop-down and type a
path and the name of Cygwin diff utility (I tried with and without "%1
%2"). The same command line run from CMD window works just fine. But
here, when I hit GO, I get, I think a CMD window that flashes briefly, and
that's it. When I pointed to a BAT files that has a "pause" at the end, so
the window stays on, I'm not getting anything either.
Any ideas what can I do?
