Source Code control project contains neither a Data and Misc object file nor a database name file

( SVNSCC , MS Access 2003, 1.7.2.0, and Win 7, x64  )

Hi
I'd tried searching for those files, but the log files really don't
exist anywhere on either computer running Win7 or Vista (with folders
set up to show and search hidden and system locations and files).
I've installed it on XP, however, and the log files are generated
(attached).
The XP machine is running Access 2010. I created a new simple database,
added it to code control with a local file:/// based repository. When I
try to create a new database from the repository, I get the same problem:
- the "Select SVNURL" dialog box appears (with the local path textbox
active) and I can fill it all out successfully
- clicking OK results in it working away, apparently successfully, and
then the Select SVNURL dialog is displayed again (this time with the
Module textbox blank, and local path textbox disabled as it would be
when adding a database to source code control). It makes no difference
to the next stage whether or not I enter the module name
-after clicking OK again, it works a bit more and then finally produces
the message box sayng that "The Source Code control project contains
neither a Data and Misc object file nor a database name file"
Thanks
Ian
I've checked this on a Vista machine and a Win7 machine

Please use search for finding debuglog.txt and protocollog.txt files in a
system folder "C:/Users", because win7 can change location of them.

Hi
I've tried the debug DLLs on another computer but they still don't
produce debuglog.txt files. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for the quick response. I unzipped the DLLs to the locations you
said and then added a new Access database to the repository and tried to
restore it, but I couldn't find debuglog.txt in the folder
c:\Program Files (x86)\Pushok Software\SVNSCC\
or the svn subfolder, Program files or c:\
The debug log doesn't appear to have been created.

The best way to find problem is to use the debug
dlls.
Download them here:

http://www.pushok.com/files/temp/svnscc_1720d2.zip

Unzip to overwrite existing. You will find debuglog.txt and debuglog.txt
near the dll.

Send them to me for analysis.
Thank you in advance.

Pay ATTENTION - sccapi.dll and PushokSVNSCC.dll files are in the folder -
"c: \ Program Files \ Pushok Software \ SVNSCC \", svncom.dll file in the
folder "c: \ Program Files \ Pushok Software \ SVNSCC \ svn \".Please
consider this when you copy files from the archive.

I'm setting up version control with Access and Subversion and am trying
various Access plugins. So far I like the SVNSCC plugin best and I can get
it to work up to the point of creating a new Access database from the
repository.

The repository name is databases/Test3/ and the local path is being set to
c:\svntest\databases\Test3.
The empty database is created and then I get the message:
Failed to update project location information in the host application
(I also get this message whenever I open a database that I have already
placed under source control using the plugin)

I then get the message:
This source control project contains neither a Data and Misc. objects file
nor a database name file. You will not be able to create a new Microsoft
Access database from this project.
I am then left with the empty database.

The test database I am trying to create is very simple, containing a singe
form object, 'Form1'. The SVN repository contains
Form1.ACF
Test3.ACB
Test3.ACN

After trying to create the new database, the local directory
c:\svntest\databases\Test3 contains the empty database stub Test3.mdb, and
empty directory Test3.scc and a .svn directory. I've attached the zipped
.svn directory in case this helps.

As I say I like the look of the plugin, but I need to be sure that it is
stable and reliable before buying licences.

Thanks for your help

Ian
