Repository connection info being lost on close of IDE

( SVNSCC , PowerBuilder, Latest, WIN 2000/XP  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 14 Jul 05 07:00 Updated: 28 Jul 05 07:00
--> Michael Hale (user)  at 28 Jul 05 07:00 writes

Hi Oleg,

I have traced the problem to an incorrect directory setup on the client
machine. The full tree was not created via a checkout, only the lower
branch.

When I created the connection, I set it up by appending part of the
directory structure to the SVNURL. This worked OK, until I shut down
PowerBuilder and restarted it, as when I checked the SVNURL and SVN MODULE
the URL had been truncated and the directory added to the beginning of the
SVN MODULE.

When I ensured the top part of the directory tree structure (which mirrored
the module in the repository) was under version control, the connection
information was consistent, and not lost.

Sorry to waste your time.

Regards,

Mike

If you do not have "admin" rights in your PC, please repeat all with
"admin" rights. The settings about which you are talking is stored by
PowerBuilde into registry. It is not clear what it does not do that.
Probably it cannot access registry due to lack of permissins? Please check
that.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, I have been away for a few days.
The connection fails on close and restart of the PowerBuilder application
(each time the application is restarted).
Regards,
Mike

Does this problem appears only once, or it appears each time you
close/open workspace?

Thanks Oleg,

I am using version 1.2.0, but not the PushOK customised build.

Please try SVN 1.2.0 .

Hi,

I am trialing the SVN proxy (1.2RC1_050627) with Powerbuilder (Version
9.0.1, build 7171). After setting up the version control it appears to
function correctly). After I close the IDE and then bring it back-up the
connection information is lost - 'Requested operation not available
offline...'.

After I re-enter the repository information (workspace properties), the
interface works correctly again.

I am using svn, version 1.2.0 (r14790)
compiled May 22 2005, 22:40:26

Connection protocol is svn://host/repository/projectName

Regards,

Michael Hale
