We have created specific utility/service which not depend on SVN client you use. Its purpose is monitor changes in (./_)svn/entries file and assign read-only flag when needed (after adding to working copy or after copy). We consider this solution much more comfortable and universal than patching of SVN client code. Especially taking into account that now lot of client tools available. Such utility/service will be included into installation of 1.3.0_RC2 version. I do belive that such solution should completely solve this issue. |

Cool, but SVN client will not check them out with the read-only attribute. Does it just not work the way CVS and others do with read-only until it's locked. SD

Ability to overwrite readonly files is added starting from SVN 1.2 (due to exclusive lock feature is added). For the lastest plug-in we'll release no any patches required at all. |

I'm trying to switch from Perforce and hit the unable to check out read-only and have the MSDEV 6.0 IDE prompt for checkouts.
If I checkout and revert from the IDE the file behaves well.
Is the only fix to use the 1.1 patched client? Did your change make it into the 1.3 version, because I am unable to checkout read only from the command line.
Going to play with it some more and then go back to Perforce, which would be a bummer.
