On project import, *all* descriptions set to "Temporary file created by Visual Studio .NET..."

I have read the other tickets regarding the "Temporary file created by
Visual Studio .NET..." messages. I'm experiencing something different: when
I first ADD a project to Source Control, all the files correctly get added,
but the message for *ALL* the files gets set to "Temporary file created by
Visual Studio .NET...". (see attachment)

It looks like some variable gets overwritten with this dummy message. Could
this get fixed?
