Getting "Broken Key" error when trying to generate PushOK key

When attempting to generate a Key for the "GIT SCC plug-in" I'm getting the
"Detected broken serial key" error.

I've confirmed the end user is following the correct process for generating
the key using the plugin, but this is not seen as a valid key by PushOK.

Key being:
CtJQs04ivYcyg0Wk6BFd#RWDswEC$YN#$4NCl5WPAF4yOxMioTKCVvKCtYyC$1ktUwr

I could not detect any special carriage returns or spaces/special chars so
I'm a bit stumped.
