Files not being checked out

( SVNSCC )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 21 May 04 05:00 Updated: 13 Aug 04 08:00

The reason of problem is that folders are also versioned in SVN. That's why
this problem appear. Right now this is solved. Not very ilegant but work.
Implemented in RC1 version of plug-in.

Note that this is the same issue as posted in the ticked dated 18 Jul 04
17:07 by Adrian Weiler. This is a very important issue for us and we are
currently working around this in the short term by deleting the .svn folder
under the directory where a file is not checked out when it occurs.

Scenario:

- Developer 1 creates a new class in an existing project
- Developer 1 checks in the new class
- Developer 2 does right-click on source controlled solution and "Get
Latest Version (Recursive)
- For Developer 2, the "new" file is shown in the solution explorer but has
a yellow exclamation mark on it. The file does NOT exist in the file system
(so of course the project fails to build saying that the file cannot be
found).

The file appears in the solution explorer because the project file in which
the file belongs has been updated and has a reference to that file. However
the file has not been retrieved from source control.

We have had two different scenarios happen next:

Scenario 1: right clicked on the project and did "Get Latest Version
(Recursive)". This manages to get the missing file from source control

Scenario 2:
- Scenario 1 doesn't work.
- Check the "entries" file under .svn and the new file isn't mentioned.
- Remove the .svn folder
- do a "Get Latest Version (Recursive)" on the project
- new file is successfully retrieved from source control
