Error during checkin "cvs server: invalid option --c"

( CVSSCC , PowerBuilder, 2.0.x, WIN 2000/XP, UNIX  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 18 Feb 05 02:00 Updated: 21 Feb 05 02:00

1. I will begin answer from your second question. We published version
1.3 RC1 which more suitable for UNIX server. If you will use it, the
second problem does not appears.
2. First problem is caused by commit message validations rules for
your unix cvs server. I.e. it have some routines that not accept empty
log message or may be required some more complex format. You can ask
your sys admin for this.
PBG file used in "hidden" mode. PowerBuilder stores there some
internal information and checkout/modify/checkin it when consider this
necessary. This is done automatically, and not specified which commit
message it provides. It may be empty, or it content does not pass your
server validations rules.
You may change option "When should commit message be explicitly
requested" to "always". With this option plug-in will allow you to
review, modify if needed and confirm any log message.

I have two issues:

1. When adding object to source control, I get the error message "cvs
[commit aborted]: Message verification failed". PowerBuilder says "Error
checking in .PBG file. Verify that new entries are correct and check in
.PBG file manually". It does add the object to source control... Can you
explain what it is doing. I understand that the .PBG file is a list of the
objects in a particular pibble but I'm not clear why it couldn't put the
.PBG in source control? Note the "My server is CVS NT > 2.0.58" in CVSROOT"
is unchecked per Igor prior suggestion via email.

2. When I try to checkin an object I get the error "cvs server: invalid
option --c" and indicates in PowerBuilder a "Non Specific Error performing
SccAdd()". Can you help me figure out have to address this error. The
source is located on a UNIX server.

Attachment includes screenshots. Please let me know if additional
information is needed.

Thanks!
