Few users report the same problem. It is not connected with
cvswrapers or plug-in file type auto detection functionality.
Problem appears on "cvs update" command, and as I think this is bug in
CVS NT, that is probably solved in latest versions.
In general it appears when: applied "cvs update" with several _binary_
files as command line argument. We perform detailed investigation and
not see nothing bad in such cvs call.
There is some bug with the same issue:
http://www.bugs.pushok.com/show_bug.cgi?id=42User report that when he upgrade to new version of CVS NT, problem
disappear. However, certain time ago we receive request with the same
problem, and upgrading to the latest version did not help (from words
of user).
Now we trying to repeat this bug on our side, to submit it to CVS NT
author. I.e. trying to create test repository and test command for cvs
that will 100% reproduce this bug. However we still cannot do this.
May be your information, that file not only should be binary, but also
exist in cvswrappers will help.
Let me know upgrading to new version will help you. Anyway I change
status of your ticket to "accpeted" and notify you when this issue
will be 100% resolved.
And the last, this problem not exist with *unix cvs server, or older
version of CVS NT (<2.0.x)
