Hello ,
I also tested that with "can_par0.h,v" and it hangs !!
For that test i used your new PushokCVSSCC.dll
with date: 21.09.2004 17:53 and size: 942.800 Bytes !!

We test this on file that you attach "can_par0". Does it hangs on that
file? Or you test it on other?
If you check on other(s) files, please if possible send them to me (attach

No, sorry ! The fix didn't solved the problem !!
Your figured out the reason of the problem, i have checked that.
But the fix didn't work. The new dll does also produce
the hang !! Sorry !
( .. i also added that info to my ticket on 22.9.2004 )

Sorry, but i tried your new DLL in zip file but it doen't help. The hang
allready exist ! Your are right, the "----------------------" lines are
the
real problem. For testing purposes i deleted such lines in a CVS file and
now hang occured . But sorry, your new DLL doesn't solved the problem. |

We found problem. It caused by the fact that you use "----------------------" lines in log messages. Standard cvs log command use such lines as delimiters between versions. Check the attached sample of cvs log. So, the problem was in log parsing routine. We make fix for this, please try the fixed dll located at: http://www.pushok.com/files/PushokCVSSCC_1.zipHowever, even if fix helps to avoid crash, I not see any means "recognize" your line "----------------------" as part of log message, and it will be missed in log message in plug-in history dialog. I not think that this is serious problem. Agree? |

Today i made some about the "hang" with Codewright. I figured out, that
some files in the cvs repository does not produce that hang but others do
!!
I attached to files for that ticked. One will produce a hang the other
not.
We are using a Linux-Server based CVS ( version 1.11.1p1) . |

I (will) use PushOk CVS Proxy (SCC) with Borlands Codewright V7.5. But i
have
discovered a big problem for us: Checkout our whole Software project
with CVS Proxy from our CVS Server ( on a Linux machine, CVS version is
1.11.1p1 )
works as expected . But if i select a file and want to make a Diff or if i
want to have a look into the History, i got a message Box (title:
"unexpected error") with
the message: "action was successfully" !!! ( ... but its not true !!!)
I press OK , then Codewright shows in the statusline the message: "an error
has occured". After that the Codewright editor does not response on any
user action !!! I have to shut down the editor with the Windows
Task-Manager !!
Therefore the PushOk CVS Proxy is not useable for us !! Maybe i made
something wrong ?? |
