thanks, it was the checkout as readonly option in Wincvs that was off (I
used wincvs to create the get the first checkout of the repository).

Could you please check that:

1. You pull sources using plug-in (not the other CVSGUI like WinCVS or
Tortoise)?

2. Is option "checkout files readonly" is switched on in plug-in
configuration window?

pushok used to work fine on my old pc. now i got new pc , installed all the
software, and checkout prompt does not appear on editing a checked in file.
manual checkout of a file works fine.

tried everything with tools->options->source control menus.

help please.
