Igor,
Generally - I think an application is friendlier if the user has the option
to configure it in the way he likes. It 'cost' nothing to add configuration
file (ini, cfg, etc') or registry key for this purpose.
for the specified dialog-box: when you have problem with your product
(mostly in a big team) you want to return to tag containing less features /
algorithms and add some files to isolate the problem, in this case i think
merging isn't the best way so you may want to get clean copy. this is one
scenario, but each developer may have different point of view for this
case, which return us to my first point.

Currently no. If you can provide some reason why you need them,
probably we will add this to program.
I just want to notice that "Get clear copy" option _overwrite_ your
local changes without any warning. I not think you have reason use
this option too often. Same behavior is for other options. What you
think?

for example, i want that, by default, each Get latest operation will et the
clean copy (without going to "advanced" screen)
