It seems that you press "Check" button with :ssh:. Try to press
"Login" button instead. Let me know results.

Hi again
If it helps, we use a local identify file for ssh. In wincvs, this is an
option Admin, preferences, RSA identity. I don't see this as being an
option in plugin.
Thanks

First you should be sure about SSH. I.e. that it is configured on
server.
SSH access can be established using two protocols:
1. :ext: - using external ssh executable
http://www.pushok.com/soft_cvs_faq.php#4
2. :ssh: - build in SSH client
http://www.pushok.com//tickets_messages.php?id=43
I can provide more help to you if you download this
version of dll:
http://www.pushok.com/files/PushokCVSSCC.zip
Replace existing one with this, and after login attempt send back to
me "debuglog.txt" file that you will find near the dll.

I specified the protocol as ssh. Now when trying to login nothing happens.
It seems to be hanging. What can I check next?

Here is my CVSROOT:

:ssh:berrya@nyhaminvgxd1.us.db.com:/data/cvsadmin/CVSROOT
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 12 May 04 05:00 writes

You should specify protocol in your CVSROOT, like this:
:pserver:berrya:mypwd@nyhaminvgxd1.us.db.com:/data/cvsadmin/CVSROOT
^^^^^^^^^
I not sure about :pserver: may be you use SSH as authentication scheme
so you will need specify :ext: protocol in this case.
Look at this help page for some info about CVSROOT
http://www.pushok.com/help/cvsscc/index.php?redirect=basic_cvs.htm
--> Ryan Berkowitz (user)  at 11 May 04 05:00 writes

I have created a new Visual Studio .NET project and am trying to connect to
a prexisting repository on UNIX using
"berrya@nyhaminvgxd1.us.db.com:/data/cvsadmin/CVSROOT"

I get the following error message:

login:CVSROOT "berrya:mypwd@nyhaminvgxd1.us.db.com:/data/cvsadmin/CVSROOT"
must be an absolute pathname[login aborted]: bad CVSROOT
