can not retrieve cvs version

( CVSSCC )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 17 Jan 05 01:00 Updated: 20 Jan 05 01:00

From log I see that you are working on branch. Source file
"Source1.cpp" does not exist on HEAD branch. The CVS output seems to
be correct since we request the HEAD of tag branch. However CVS
reports that path not existent even we specify this. Probably because
it is not exist on HEAD truck, and file still in attic
(/var/cvs/Test/Attic/Source1.cpp,v)
You can choose the exact version to compare it in the appropriate combo.
Please let me know if this help to you.

Hi,
Please find attached the debuglog.txt file generated when attempting to do
a
diff (Compare Versions...) on file stored in the repository. Refer to the
ticket with the subject line "can not retrieve cvs version", opened by
myself, Eric Gervais, for more information.
Regards,
Eric

Please download the debug version of dll:
http://www.pushok.com/files/PushokCVSSCC.zip.
Then extract it and send back to me the debuglog.txt that it will produce.
The dll should be extracting over existing.

Actually version 2.0 now on betta stage as you see. More other it mostly
optimized for CVS NT server, not for linux.
So, my advise is to use version 1.2 which known stable and works good with
linux server.
If you have some time and some desire to help us with version 2.0 I can
send you the debug dll which will help to find problem. If you need this
please reopen ticket.

I have downloaded and installed version 2.0 of CVSSCCProxy, and the cvsnt
2.0.58 client. Our cvs server is the default cvs deamon that comes with
linux (version 1.12.2). In the configuration of CVSSCCProxy, I specified
that the cvsnt client be used (it seems faster), that the preset for unix
cvs options be applied, and that the 'This server is CVSNT ver >= 2.058'
check box is unchecked.

My problem is when I want to do a diff on a file, nothing happens. The
"Diff local file with source control version" dialog takes a few seconds
to disapear after I click OK, but nothing else ever happen... Also, if I
try to view a revision in the "History view", I get an error message box
with the message: "Can not retrieve file version".

If I can fix these problems, I will most likely propose to our dev team
that we start using your product.

Eric
