VS 2005 has configuration option which allows select active SCC
provider. It also remembers this selection for projects. Option can be
found at: Tools-Option-Source Control-Plug-in selection.

I currently have Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 installed, and when I
install "CVS Proxy", only Visual Studio 2003 works with it, Visual Studio
2005 still uses "Visual Source Safe".

How can I configure manually "CVS Proxy" in Visual Studio 2005?
